If i remember correctly, this was featured in old NZHRM with diffrent paint.
For a minute, i toyed with the idea of selling my A, or asking if he wants to trade as id love to own a bucket with history.
Im sure it'll be snapped up in no time.

This was built in the early to mid 70s. I was boarding with Palmsy at the time...and was around during the build process. We waited each month for each issue of NZHRM to come out so we could follow Project T and keep the build going.....Grant wrecked a '56 Ford Country Squire 4-door wagon donor car...When finished it was showed and featured on the January 1976 cover of NZHRM

Here's a few build shots from my album...these must have been '72 or '73...

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/nzhotrod/NZHRM%20Sub%20Album/IMG_0273-1.jpg
Above: The Ford Country Squire wagon was the donor car....unusual because most NZ new wagons were the lower spec 2-door Ranch wagons...this one was a four door and had all the fancy chrome...not that we cared back then!!!
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/nzhotrod/NZHRM%20Sub%20Album/IMG_0274.jpg
Above: mocked up the the shed with orange gel coat body from Greenlane Speedshop (now GSS)

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/nzhotrod/NZHRM%20Sub%20Album/IMG_0275.jpg
Above: First Xmas it got a test run with Santa...who I think was Grant's mate Sidevalve.

Grant kindly loaned me the T for a weekend away with the Riverside boys in 1974....I think it was a reward for doing all the chromework on the T.....yes I did, no shit, 'nuther story though. By Jezzuz did I get an education that weekend!!! Those Riverside guys know how to party!

Above: Santana (foreground) then John Reid's Black Sabbath and then Furnie's T
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/nzhotrod/NZHRM%20Sub%20Album/IMG_0278.jpg
Above: Trying to be clever and get a driving shot....some things never change huh!

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u277/nzhotrod/NZHRM%20Sub%20Album/IMG_0281.jpg
Above: Parked in front of Dave Mitchells '34 Plymouth coupe, next to Mike Gearing's A roadster with Caddy mill...and Buddah's '38 Chev coupe in the distance at the hall in the middle of the Karangahake Gorge where we all slept the night on the floor.....The stories went all night....We all had a drink or two hundred at the pub....and played pool.....eventually the publican went berserk .....he discovered the black 8-ball had disappeared.....he really threw his rocks out of the pram and threatened to call the cops and run us out of town and said he knew it was one of us who'd nicked it...probably for a gear lever knob (correct)......eventually someone (who shall remain nameless) slipped it back onto the table and he calmed back down again....Then later in the hall the antics of Harry Donker and his wife Zita....and Slutter who woke bolt upright when he dreamed he heard a bottle of piss being opened....and more are the stuff of memories...ask JR one day

Above: Next day the run went to Waihi Beach...here following JR and Flick in Black Sabbath

Above: At Waihi next to fellow clubber Terry Vaughan's Volksrod.

Above and below: At Waihi...the back wheels were from Graeme Addis at Wild Wheels in Otahuhu...same as Project T's

The 'SANTANA' restoration
It took me (7 long night's) to get the car back to this point, I wanted to bring the car back to its original look as much as possible - but I also wanted to ad my own touch on a few things here and their. I decided to go with yellow for the motor instead of red. Wanted to try to make the flames on the side of the car look as if they were coming off the motor, I also added some red to the interior. There's more to come :)
