Kerry's bucket was one of the most awesome Buckets I reckon. The entire block, heads, trans etc was ground smooth before paint. Unreal detailing everywhere.

Kerry's bucket was taking shape when I first joined Whangarei in the late 80's. It went through many incarnations, slowly getting better all the time, while being driven all the time.....and hard. I watched him at the Snow run in 89' participating in the streetkhana, dissapearing into clouds of smoke, ignoring all the cones. Most people didn't want to join in for fear of breaking something. But Kerry gave it death and then drove home!....Towing a trailer!!
To run the engine in first time he hooked a trailer on the back of the bucket with a ute on the back, drove 100kms and back. I guess he thought if it broke he could swap for the ute and load the bucket onto the trailer and tow it home.
I went for one ride in it, what an experience!!
My wifes cousin now owns it. Its up north in the Bay of islands now, still looking the same.

That's World Junior Womans Surfing Champ Ella Williams cruising with Kerry.

We were excited to see Kerry bring his Bucket to the Hop for the 1st time - was great to catch up. And a real buzz have Kerry's, Euan Marks, Eric Livingstone's and the ex Colin Dorothy's Buckets all lined up together - real Kiwi history there!

Next year you just need to add Noddy Watts bucket to the line up.
