Over the past 35 years, I have started/bought eight buckets of which I think only three of them ever saw the road in some form or another.

The ones that saw the road were:

The Neil Brill A bucket - last seen owed by Neil Timmins in Te Kuiti in the early eighties
My Mr Hemi bucket - 360 Chrysler powered and last seem living up near Kumeu.
My current bucket - the Mike Madden/Bryan Rassmusen bucket.

And I did at one stage own the body thats on Bears bucket in Gisborne.

Pikkys to follow when Ive upskilled a bit

The old Mr Hemi bucket.

I actually had a 392 & blower manifold for the bucket I had at the time (the widened body Bear used) but the budget didnt stretch to rebuilding the Hemi.

And the current bucket AA/FA (Ian Rainbow pikky)

Ran a best of 10.2 @132 at the club champs a couple of years back. Broke the motor since and have upsized it so I can run a 9 one day.

Heres the bucket at Powerbuilt Dragway (Ruapuna) at the end of January this year. And it still hasnt run a 9 yet.

The zoomies dont make it go any faster, but they look cool. Zoomies came from the Palmy swapmeet some years back - apparently of one of Grant Rivers funny cars

Was looking at some FB pikkys put up by Roger Murray from the Beach Hop yesterday & saw my old bucket amongst them.

Last I saw it, it was on TM for sale as the owner had died & the daughters were emptying out the shed. Its now looking a lot more how I was wanting it to look when I had it. (But I wouldnt put on the zoomies and wheelie bars as it wasnt fast enough, & I was too poor)

Cool. I saw it being hoofed along on Sunday morning. Sounded mean.
