Funny you ask that ! cos I have never used one in 43 years of painting cars, boats, aircraft and even furniture (kitchen units etc) so I cant answer that one for you (or maybe I have.....lol)

All the advise so far is pretty much on the money , no way will you ever need a top of the line gun (I favour Iwata) others have their favorites.
