Had a different weekend.Flew outa Brizvegas , landed in Hamilton at 11PM Sat. Picked up by little bro (John & Sarah Ellis),off to Tauranga to Grant Forlongs B'day (was nearly over by then),back to bro's for some Reds then a looong snooze.Sunday had a GOOD kiwi burger, battered fish, and a pie with MEAT in it! Caught up with Frog & Jill & her brother Wayne , Bruce Ericksen also called in for a while. Then off to Cambridge for the night (more reds),next morning (Mon) left Cambridge at 7:30 AM heading for Ruakaka for my uncles funeral.Brekkie at Warkworth (lovely town),thru the new tunnel,to the new off licence at the one tree point marina (nearly cleaned them out),see all the family , had to do the speech & pallbearer as well , heading back to Waikato at about 7ish.Stopped in Wellsford for dinner (great feed),the cuzzies dropped me off at Ham airport motel at 11PM,up at 5 to catch the Ham to Bris express. Not the best way to spend a few days at home!
Bought back some real estate mags , thinking about maybe getting out of here and back to godzone,
Well , not very exciting , but thats what i did on the weekend.

Always good to come home, pity about the circumstances...How long ya been away??There have probably been a few changes since you were here last..Warkworth must have changed in the last 10 years or so.. Wont say any more... Things are tight here, but I think Aussie is still to get its share of what we have now..You had a pie with MEAT in it??what are kangaroos made of?? I suppose if you come home to live, you will be bringin your toys with you..AND you can still import a car from the States too..I think there are pros and cons for both sides of the ditch..My bro-in-law lives in Jimboomba, drives for Australia Post, and his missus works there too,so their lives are fairly good,,They have been there for about 13 years now, have a few acres out in the bush,a reasonable drive to town, but I think they are fairly settled, doing okay now,and wouldnt be able to get a job like he has back here for the same wage, but a lot of the things you have mentioned, like rego etc,are cheaper here anyway, apart from the rego on the Harley...

Prognini , been here since '81 , Jimboomba only 20 minutes from here , it just seems that people are less stressed about life back home. I HATE Aust post , they bring bills . and lots of 'em (but i'm sure your bro in law is a lovely chap).
Am originally from Cambridge and spent 4 yrs in Lifestylz county , so the Waikato is always home i guess? If i brung toys , can i have a left hand drive '39 coupe? , the rest would be sold off , Cheers mate.

Anything freehold is around the $200,000 upward. 50k will get you a pile of firewood shaped like a house.

Another dull weekend then?
I got some more brake plumbing done, rear brakes are all hooked up now, with separate flex lines to each rear caliper.
I didn't like the look or the placing of the bracket for the handbrake cables on the chassis so I cut it off (again) and drilled/tapped the crossmember for a bolt-on part. This way, if I change my wind again, I only need to make a new bracket. Now I need to find some cable retaining clips from an S14 200SX
Also listed a few car books on Trademe, anyone interested in Lincoln Continentals, Morris Minors, Supercharging, 1957-1970 Fords and Mercurys, click here
